What happened on the land of Cicones?

Odysseus and his men raided the land of the Cicones, plundering their city.

When Odysseus and his men arrived in the land of the Cicones, they were initially welcomed by the locals. The Cicones were a hospitable and friendly people, willing to share their food and resources with the visitors.

However, the situation quickly turned sour when Odysseus and his men decided to take advantage of the locals' hospitality and raided their city. The Greek warriors attacked and plundered the city, taking away anything of value.

Having experienced a setback, Odysseus and his men were forced to retreat from the land of the Cicones. They sailed away, leaving behind the devastated city and the people who had initially welcomed them.
