The new Museum of Troy, in the area of ​​Canakkale (Dardanelli) was inaugurated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. It is a project that started to be built in 2013 and cost tens of millions of Turkish lira.

"The Troy museum that we are inaugurating today is the latest example of our effort to transfer our history to the next generations," the Turkish president said, initially, in his speech, according to the Sabah newspaper.

"Troy, with a history of 5,000 years, is one of our most important archaeological monuments, which has been under the protection of UNESCO since 1998," Erdogan added.

The museum exhibits 1,746 works, while visitors have the opportunity to "talk" with Helen the Fair and Achilles. As mentioned by a representative of the museum of Troy, in the space there are statues of Helen and Achilles, which have special motion sensors, so that when someone passes in front they start and... speak Turkish.
