History of North America

What were 3 reasons why the colonists won American revolution?

1. French assistance. The French provided the colonists with military and financial support, including troops, weapons, and supplies. This assistance was critical in helping the colonists to win the war.

2. British disadvantages. The British were fighting a war on two fronts, against the colonists in America and against France in Europe. This put a strain on British resources and made it difficult for them to maintain their control over the colonies.

3. Colonial unity. The colonists were able to unite against the British despite their differences in religion, ethnicity, and social status. This unity was essential in winning the war.
