How many men could Germany call up if there was a war?

As per Germany's current legislation on conscription, males between 18 and 25 can be required to register for military service for up to twelve months. However, the Bundeswehr, Germany's armed forces, is moving towards a fully professional force and ended mandatory military service in 2011. As a result, the actual number of men Germany could call up for service in the event of war is uncertain and may vary depending on their current recruitment numbers and the specifics of the situation.
