Where was fascism practiced?

* Italy. Fascism originated in Italy in the early 20th century. Benito Mussolini, the founder of fascism, came to power in 1922 and established a dictatorship that lasted until 1945.

* Germany. Fascism also took hold in Germany in the 1930s. Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi Party, came to power in 1933 and established a totalitarian regime that lasted until 1945.

* Spain. Fascism was also practiced in Spain during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). Francisco Franco, the leader of the Nationalist forces, established a dictatorship that lasted until 1975.

* Portugal. Fascism was also practiced in Portugal during the Estado Novo regime (1933-1974). António de Oliveira Salazar, the leader of the Estado Novo, established a dictatorship that lasted until 1974.
