The Battle of barren Hill is regarded as an important moment within the campaign that lead to American independence because of how the inexperienced american force, lead by the general Anthony Wayne. managed to win the battle under heavy artillery fire which in return boosted their confidence leading up to major battles later on such as the Siege of Yorktown that would ultimately result in victory against the british.
