The great powers met in Vienna, Austria, after the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo. The Congress of Vienna was a major international conference that took place from September 1814 to June 1815. It was convened to redraw the political map of Europe after the Napoleonic Wars. The Congress was attended by representatives from all of the major European powers, including Austria, France, Great Britain, Prussia, Russia, and Spain.
