History of Bhumij Rebellion (1832- 33 AD)
The British government increased the revenue on the zamindars of Birbhum so much that it became difficult for the farmers and small landowners to maintain them by default. He was buried by the debts of outside moneylenders. To end this crisis, this rebellion took place in 1832 AD under the leadership of Ganga Narayan.
